A US politician was pictured smiling broadly next to his wife, his alleged mistress, and
the mistress’ British husband who stood behind them flashing peace signs. They photo captured what appeared to be a happy group.

However, ten months later, the US local politician, Lee Vogler, is now hospitalized with 60% of his body burned.
The British man, Shotsie Michael Buck-Hayes, 29, is accused of dousing Vogler with petrol and setting him on fire in his office in July, in a jealous rage over an alleged affair with his wife, Mary, the Daily Mail reported.

Buck-Hayes and his estranged wife
Buck-Hayes, who apparently blames Vogler for breaking up his four-year marriage, appeared in court this week.
The Brit told police that "he set the person on fire who had an affair with his wife", it emerged in a courtroom in Virginia earlier this week.
An affair between Vogler and Mary has not been proven.
But Mary filed for divorce from Buck-Hayes, of Devon, two weeks before the Brit allegedly set Vogler aflame.
Buck-Hayes has been charged with attempted first-degree murd£r as well as aggravated malicious wounding.

He is under psychiatric care at Central State Hospital and awaits a psychological evaluation to determine if he is fit to stand trial.
Buck-Hayes could face life in prison if convicted.
A GoFundMe page for Vogler set up by his wife, Blair, describes him as a "friend, husband, father, and community leader".
"For more than 13 years, Lee has served Danville as a dedicated city councilman, never missing a meeting and working tirelessly to revitalize the city he loves," states the page.
"He is a father who coaches his children’s sports teams, a husband who adores his family, and a friend who has always been there when others needed him."
Vogler last week had what his family hopes was his last skin graft surgery.
The page had raised more than $160,000 as of Thursday evening, October 2.
